Job Details

The Insurance Coverage Attorney will handle a broad range of responsibilities within the insurance sector, including representing insurers in complex coverage disputes, providing advice on policy interpretation, and litigating first-party and third-party claims.

The role offers the opportunity to work closely with top professionals in the field, focusing on litigation, arbitration, and negotiation matters related to insurance policies.

  • Analyze insurance policies, including general liability, property, professional liability, and other types of insurance coverage.
  • Provide legal counsel and advice to insurers and corporate clients regarding coverage issues and risk management.
  • Represent clients in insurance coverage litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and present findings to internal teams and clients.
  • Lead and participate in mediation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on trial strategies, depositions, and trial preparations.
  • Maintain knowledge of current legal developments in insurance law and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar in good standing.
  • 3-6 years of experience in insurance coverage and litigation, with a strong understanding of policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and cases effectively and independently.
  • Experience with complex litigation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations preferred.
  • Commitment to client service and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
