Job DetailsIdeal Candidate:
- 1-4 years of relevant insurance coverage/reinsurance/bad faith experience
- The new associate will handle complex coverage claims referred by domestic and international insurers arising from high-stakes liability exposures and catastrophic losses primarily involving commercial general liability policies.
- The ideal candidate will be an exceptional writer who takes pride in authorship and is committed to excellence.
- Attorney's whose primary background is analyzing coverage issues and then litigating those issues and derivative insurance bad faith claims.
- In house experience at an insurance company before or during law school is a plus.
- Legal project management experience is helpful.
- Should have a commitment to exceptional insurance client service and federal court experience.
- Must be highly proficient in handling civil cases through trial including taking depositions, oral argument and hearing attendance, negotiating settlements, reporting to clients, etc.
- The candidate will serve all phases of litigation including case management, motion practice, discovery, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Must have a J.D. from a medium to top tier ABA-approved law school (Loyola, Kent, etc) and be an active member in good standing of the Bar.
