Salary: $100,000 - $160,000 per year

Based in Philadelphia, PA we represent insurance carriers, insured and self-insured clients across the state of Pennsylvania. We primarily focus on insurance coverage, special investigations, fraud, premises liability & construction litigation, products liability, appellate advocacy, automobile insurance liability.

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic, seasoned, and highly motivated Permanent Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of insurance coverage matters and will be responsible for providing legal advice to our clients regarding insurance coverage, policy interpretation, claims, and litigation. The candidate will be expected to handle complex insurance coverage litigation from inception to end and ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal representation for clients in matters of insurance coverage litigation.
• Draft comprehensive coverage opinions involving first party breach of contract and/or third party liability claims and related bad faith issues.
• Defend insurance companies in first-party lawsuits.
• Analyze insurance coverage policies, including commercial and homeowners' policies.
• Prepare and present cases in court, arbitration, and mediation.
• Conduct thorough legal research and due diligence to support case preparation.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Develop strategies and negotiate settlements where appropriate.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance laws and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsels, judges, and others involved in the legal process.
• Ensure all legal documents and proceedings are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in handling insurance coverage matters.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience defending insurance companies in first-party lawsuits.
• Proficiency in drafting coverage opinions involving first party breach of contract and/or third party liability claims and related bad faith issues.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze insurance coverage, including commercial and homeowners' policies.
• Strong experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Excellent legal writing and communication skills.
• Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong ethical and professional standards.
