DescriptionA prominent plaintiff's law firm based in Hackensack, NJ, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal /Case Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate must possess 5-10 years of litigation experience. Previous litigation and personal injury experience are required andmedical malpractice experience is a plusCandidates without the required experience will not be considered.A comprehensive benefits package is available.ResponsibilitiesIncluding, but not limited to:•Setting up case structure, organizing case documents and calendar dates•Preparing and filing legal documents including discovery requests/responses•Researching expert witnesses and scheduling depositions•Communicating with legal team members, clients, counsel, experts, and court•Subpoena medical and other records•Reviewing documents/medical records and preparing detailed summaries/chronologiesQualifications•Self-starter who can work with little supervision, be extremely organized, and very detail-oriented•Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize incoming work to meet deadlines•Demonstrate a professional demeanor to problem-solve during busy times•Follow through with minimal direction and take the initiative•Treat others with respect and contribute to a positive team environment•Knowledge of Trial pad and/or TrialWorks a plus•Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word and PDF conversion software. Excel and PowerPoint experience is necessary•Knowledge of Local and State discovery rules•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Organization skills and attention to detail
