Management Consulting company providing financial services to not for profit organizations seeks an acting Director/AVP Finance for one or more of their clients. This is a fulltime permanent role with a mostly remote schedule, in office a few days per month in downtown Manhattan.Responsibilities include: Communicating with client's executive director and senior management on a consistent basis to review the financial position and health of the agency, identify and resolve issues, and address priority needs Assuring the monthly production of accurate and timely financial reports including financial statements, contract summaries, and cash flow reports Communicating research and analysis of financial results, fiscal trends and potential issues, including written reports to agency's board of directors and internal management Working with contracts management group and financial analysts to ensure timely and accurate administration of government contracts including vouchering, budget management, contract registration, contract close-out, funder audits and other compliance and applicable regulatory requirements. Preparing reports and analyses to ensure the timely completion of independent and funder audits. Helping to identify opportunities to increase the efficiency of workflow processes. Assisting in the creation of the annual agency budget and grant budgets, including breakdowns by primary department, program, or funder. Managing their respective client team of controllers, accountants, financial analysts, and intern(s). Assisting the VP Finance in establishing a calendar of monthly deliverables for each client.Qualified candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in public accounting or management consulting company in a client facing role supporting not for profit organizations.
