Unit Med/Surg# Beds 28Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:4-5Required certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLSCommon diagnoses/Types of patients General Medical patients including sepsis, COPD, Bowel obstructions, CHF, etc.Experience or 'Must have' skills - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred - 2+ years related work experience is preferred - Current state licensure and AHA BLSAre RNs required to titrate drips? Yes (Insulin and Heparin gtts)Common titratable &/or set rate drips Insulin and HeparinAre there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? No tle monitor techs available on unit. Tele monitor from a centralized location in Tacoma reachable via vocera. Able to read strips preferred.Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? NoAre there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios Yes. 1 CNA to 10-12 patientsRT Equipment (i.e., Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, vents, etc.) Cpap and established bipaps onlyShifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling?
