Job DescriptionOur department is committed to continuous improvement in patient care, education, research, and service. We are actively searching for individuals who can contribute to our mission of high-quality patient care, excellence in education, and the progression of science through scholarship.

Aside from direct patient care, faculty will have the opportunity to pursue academic interests such as the following:

Teach a variety of courses within the medical school curriculum

Educate learners within our Family Medicine residencies and fellowships

Conduct research and scholarly activity within an institution that exceeded $840 million in grant funding in FY21, and includes potential collaborators such as Precision Medicine, the Center for Exercise Medicine, Preventive Medicine, the Lakeshore Foundation, and UAB Nutrition Obesity Research Center (NORC)

Continue to develop our expertise in Precision Medicine, Value-Based Care, Leadership in Medicine, Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), Digital Health, and Lifestyle & Exercise Medicine.

Required QualificationsConsideration will be given to a board-certified MD or DO for a part-time or full-time position. Position is a twelve-month, non-tenure earning position, at the rank of Assistant Professor. Rank and salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
