Job Description
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is offering a full-time faculty position for an academically oriented BC/BE psychiatrist in the Division of Adult Psychiatry. Rank, tenure status and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a clinician educator who enjoys collaborative work and interdisciplinary training of residents, fellows, medical students and other professionals. Primary responsibilities include providing clinical services part-time and will conduct clinical research for the other half for a total 1.0 FTE. The proportion of time spent clinically and in research will be determined based on clinical demands and availability of research funding. Participation in the teaching and supervision of psychiatry residents and medical students is also required.
