A law firm specializing in intellectual property law is seeking a Mid-Level Pharmaceutical Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Redwood City, CA. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical patent litigation, including Hatch-Waxman litigation, and assist in various aspects of counseling patent disputes.Duties:Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents related to pharmaceutical patent litigation.Assist senior attorneys in case management and strategy development for patent disputes.Analyze and interpret scientific and technical documents related to pharmaceutical patents.Participate in deposition preparation, witness interviews, and trial preparation as necessary.Collaborate with clients and experts in the pharmaceutical industry to gather evidence and develop litigation strategies.Provide counsel on intellectual property matters, including patent validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical patent litigation, with specific expertise in Hatch-Waxman litigation preferred.Undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry, or other relevant pharmaceutical industry fields.Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Admission to the Bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.Registration to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), or ability to qualify for registration, is preferred.Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to analyze complex scientific and legal issues.Excellent written and oral communication skills, including communicating effectively with clients and experts.Skills:Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Adaptability and willingness to learn new areas of law and scientific developments in the pharmaceutical industry.Strong interpersonal skills and building relationships with clients and colleagues.
