Job Description
We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer Intern to join our Summer 2025 internship program. The intern will work closely with data engineers to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ensure data quality, and support the organization's data infrastructure. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering, database management, and big data technologies.
Key Responsibilities:Assist in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and efficient data pipelines to support data analytics and business intelligenceHelp with the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakesCollaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand data requirements and ensure proper data availabilityAssist in maintaining and optimizing database systems (e.g., SQL and NoSQL databases)Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security by monitoring and improving data qualityParticipate in data modeling and architecture design sessionsWrite and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data extraction and analysisContribute to the development and implementation of automated data processesAssist in identifying and resolving data-related issues and discrepanciesCollaborate with cross-functional teams on data-related projects and initiativesQualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related fieldBasic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or ScalaFamiliarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL), data pipelines, and ETL processesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailGood understanding of data structures and algorithmsFamiliarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is a plusExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work with large datasets and perform data analysis using SQL or other toolsAdditional Information
