Job Description
We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer Intern to join our Summer 2025 internship program. The intern will work closely with the Business Intelligence team to design and develop data pipelines, ensure data quality, analyze data, and build reports to support a specific data-driven initiative. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analytics and data engineering through an end-to-end project intended to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:Assist in designing and building scalable and efficient data pipelines to support data analyticsHelp with the extraction, loading, and transformation (ELT) of data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakesCollaborate with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure proper data availabilityAssist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets from various sources to support business decisionsContribute to the development and implementation of interactive dashboards and reportsAssist in identifying and resolving data-related issues, discrepancies and security vulnerabilitiesAssist in defining and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, providing actionable insights based on findingsDocument BI processes, methodologies, and best practices for knowledge sharing within the teamQualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related fieldBasic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, etc.Familiarity with databases, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processesBasic understanding of data visualization tools (e.g. Domo, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc.)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work with large datasets and perform data analysis using SQL or other toolsAdditional Information
