The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Linux and Solaris operating systems in a dynamic environment. This role involves ensuring system performance, availability, and security, while also supporting system upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery.Key technical skills required? System Administration: Manage and administer Linux and Solaris systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.? Installation & Configuration: Install and configure new servers, patches, and updates on Linux and Solaris platforms.? Troubleshooting: Perform root cause analysis and resolve hardware and software issues related to system performance and reliability.? Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Use monitoring tools to track system performance, resolve bottlenecks, and implement necessary changes.? User Management: Handle user account creation, permission settings, and security administration.? Scripting & Automation: Strong expertise in Unix Shell scripting and automation tools like Ansible or Puppet.? Backup & Recovery: Experience with backup and recovery tools like Veritas NetBackup or Bacula.? Virtualization: Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, or Oracle VM.? Networking & Security: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, NFS, LDAP, and firewalls.? Performance & Security: Experience with performance tuning, security hardening, and patch management.? Monitoring: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds.Preferred Skills? Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.?
