Quality Control Technician I

In accordance with the established mission, policies and procedures of Multipack West, LLC, the Quality Control Technician assures that the plant is compliant with food regulatory requirements and reports deficiencies or practices that could compromise food safety, quality and food defense.

Schedule

We are currently seeking to fill our 2nd shift offset schedule. The schedule rotates weekly, with Monday to Thursday and Monday to Wednesday shifts. The working hours are from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Any hours worked beyond 8 in a day will be compensated with overtime pay, as well as any hours worked beyond 40 per week.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Report any food safety problems to the SQF Practitioner or Department Supervisor in a timely manner so that corrective actions may be taken.

Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.

Monitors production conditions, specifications, process controls and tracking controls.

Collect retain samples and manage retain area.

Collect lab and prep samples for 3rd party lab.

Verify all CCPs on-line.

Take corrective actions whenever necessary to assist in determining root cause and development of a preventative action plan.

Verify and document Facility Operation Inspections & Good Manufacturing Practices

Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) throughout all manufacturing areas.

Perform sanitation inspections and ATP swabs during changeovers.

Tracks non-conforming product (Holds)

Ensure all QC areas are clean.

Prep and clean QC Lab for oncoming shift.

Close out all paperwork at the end of your shift.

Give complete pass down of shift updates and duties to oncoming shift.

Send EOS report emails.

Complete daily audit and report any findings.

Perform monthly audits and report any findings.

Perform Pre-Operational inspection procedures of equipment and facility.

Verify equipment calibrations.

Verify product is within specification.

Verify production lot codes and packaging is within product specification.

Shipping and receiving verifications.

Performs other tasks and special projects delegated by Quality Manager.

Job qualifications

High School Diploma, or equivalent required

HACCP Certified (required – but can be obtained on the job)

1-2 years QC or/and food industry experience (preferred but not required)

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meets deadlines.

Ability to comprehend quality systems in preparation for audits.

Basic skills

Must be able to adapt to constant changes and work independently with moderate supervision.
