Our Railcar Mechanics inspect and maintain rail cars at our shop in Milo, Maine. Preferred (not required) work experience includes welding, mobile equipment operation, hand/pneumatic tool usage, and outdoor working experience.
A railroad Car Mechanic is required to inspect, repair, and maintain train cars. The work involves climbing and crawling under cars, the operation of track switches and equipment to move cars, use of equipment to move cars, use of equipment in the repair and maintenance process, and the ability to work in outdoor conditions.
