The End User Computing team is part of HHCs System Support Office, responsiblefor the deployment and management of infrastructure components that enablesystem-wide, scalable, end-point computing services to end-users. The End UserComputing team manages all Microsoft Windows end-points, upgrades, securitypatching, remote software distribution, and baseline operating system imagecreation for both physical end-points and virtual desktops. The team worksdirectly with other Technical Services departments, HHCs acute and ambulatoryfacilities, and key stakeholders throughout the system on key initiatives anddaily support needs.Position Summary:

The incumbent will support all aspects of office automation. Focusing oncustomer service and total cost of ownership issues. Will provide support forend users and end user applications. Is well versed in the deployment of largescale computer installations as well as maintaining, upgrading and supportingdesktop operating systems. Creates and generates documentation for users andco-workers. Installs, modifies and repairs microcomputer hardware, printers andperipherals.

Position Responsibilities:Supports office technology ingeneral, including software, hardware and communications systems.Conducts training classes onnew products and systems.Tests new programs prior torelease to the user group to ensure desired results are achieved.Assists the help desk staff inresearching problems on the system.Deploys computers in massthrough imaging and automation processes.Loads specified officeautomation software packages such as operating systems, office suites, andother related applicationsInstructs user in use ofequipment, software, and manuals.Answers clients inquiries inperson and via telephone concerning systems operation. Diagnoses systemhardware, software, and operator problems. Recommends or performs actionsto correct problems based on knowledge of system operation.Refers major issues outside oroperational norms to manager for resolution.Controls and manages PChardware and software.Attends technical conferencesand seminars to keep abreast of new software and hardware productdevelopments.Interacts with employees tofacilitate and promote effective use of information technology.Devises logical solutions tooperational problems within the capacity and limitations of installedcomputer equipment.Assists in the maintenance ofhardware and software inventory.Supports help desk personnel introubleshooting.Assists users accessing systemsand software Answers questions and assists with training users on variousPC based software systems.Protects and maintains userdata at all times.Installs manages and maintainstelephony devicesAbility to lift 50 lbsGross motor function; bothhand, both feetFine motor function; both handsAbility to bend, squat, reach,lift, carry, push, pullQualificationsBachelors degree in ComputerScience, or Management Information Systems. Without benefit of degree,equivalent on the job training and experience of at least 1 years durationmay be acceptableMinimum of three (3) yearsfunctional experience in end user support.
