Application Support Analyst

Job Title: Application Support AnalystLocation: Tampa, FL (Hybrid)Duration: 6+ Months (Contract to Hire)Position Overview:Seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst with expertise in supporting applications using ETL tools, preferably Ab Initio, who possess strong Unix (shell) scripting and Oracle SQL skills. This role focuses on application development and operational support, not system administration. The position is contract-to-hire, with the potential for permanent employment.Key Responsibilities:Perform technical and operational tasks on a routine basis to meet OLA requirements.Troubleshoot and resolve reported and self-detected issues within SLA, resolving 80% of new issues independently.Monitor and recover processes, ensuring stability of environments.Collaborate with Level 3 and Development teams to resolve issues in production environments.Propose and implement environment improvements by coordinating with development teams and application owners.Plan and coordinate knowledge sharing sessions, migrations, and disaster recovery documentation.Develop scripts to streamline issue investigations and support activities.Lead new implementations and rollouts.Required Qualifications:4+ years of experience in application development and/or application support.3+ years of experience with Ab Initio and database-related projects.3+ years working with Unix commands, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, ETL, WebSphere, job scheduling tools, and system monitoring tools like AppDynamics.Strong understanding of IT service processes and ITIL, with a mindset for DevOps.Experience with Ab Initio, Hadoop, and shell scripting is preferred.Strong attention to detail with troubleshooting and log analysis capabilities.Willingness to work flexible hours.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
