Handle client meetings, court hearings, mediations, and trials (first chair experience not required but desirable)Manage dedicated staff and docket of diverse civil litigation cases with emphasis on employment law mattersAbility to handle complex litigation matters from beginning to endConduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneysReview client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of actionOrganize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staffResolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegalsPrepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedingsCounsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcomePerform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motionsDraft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefsDetermine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysisQualifications

3+ years of litigation experienceWorking knowledge of state and federal rules of civil procedure and evidenceExperience handling written discovery, motions, hearings, and depositionsStrong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clientsMember in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)Candidates must have passed the bar examAbility to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client baseAbility to use Microsoft Office is requiredStrong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is requiredSuccessful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experiencePublic speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this roleAble to work independently while handling multiple filesCompensation
