Salary: $170,000 - $220,000 per year

We are transforming the electronics landscape with our revolutionary AI-based products. We proudly serve 1.5 million electrical engineers, from small startups to industry powerhouses like Boeing and Raytheon. We are working on a new tool to automate the most common chores as part of circuit board design. That includes auto-completing common circuits, using natural language to actually instruct the PCB design tool, recommending components based on cost, power consumption requirements or supplier inventory and automating full reference designs. We are looking for a lead backend engineer who is strong with python/django and can work onsite 3 days a week in the bay area location.

• 5+ years of full-stack software engineering, with a focus on high-throughput web applications (ideally with Django or modern frameworks).
• Comfortable with backend (PostgreSQL, Python/Django) and solid frontend skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
• Track Record: Proven ability to design and build scalable, maintainable systems.
• Leadership: Experience influencing technical direction and mentoring engineers.
• Pragmatic Approach: You write clean, efficient code but prioritize shipping quickly and iterating fast.
• Team Player: You enjoy collaborating across teams and are excited about helping to recruit top talent.
• Hybrid in the Bay Area: You’re available to work 3 days a week in our Bay Area office.

Nice to Have:

• AI Enthusiast: Familiarity with AI integration and excited to work at the intersection of AI and hardware.
• Electrical Engineering/Circuit Design Knowledge: Experience with electronics or CAD tools is a huge bonus.
• 2+ Years in Senior Roles: You’ve made key architecture decisions and led teams.
• Experience with Angular or Modern Frameworks: Django, React, Vue, Ember, or Electron.js experience.
• Founding Engineer: You’ve been a founding or early engineer at a startup, taking ownership of the product.
• User-Focused: You prioritize delivering great user experiences, not just technical solutions.
