Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all grant-related accounting activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications and proposals, working closely with other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage the financial aspects of government contracts, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Monitor and track fixed assets, including the acquisition, depreciation, and disposal of assets.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, providing detailed and accurate information on our financial status.
  • Work closely with other team members to develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
  • Manage the Grants Gateway, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Prepare and submit the Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR), ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of non-profit accounting principles and practices, applying this knowledge to all aspects of your work.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with experience working in non-profit or property accounting preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of grant accounting, government contracts, and non-profit accounting is essential.
  • Experience with government contracts is preferred.
  • Excellent financial reporting skills, with the ability to prepare detailed and accurate reports.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex financial information.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular focus on Excel, is required.
  • Experience with financial software and systems is preferred.
