Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our litigation team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution.

You will work closely with attorneys and clients, handling critical aspects of case preparation, discovery, and trial support.

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial litigation, including case management, legal research, and trial preparation.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents in federal and state courts.
  • Organize and manage case files, including electronic filing systems, to ensure all case documents are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review, production, and coordinating depositions.
  • Liaise with clients, experts, witnesses, and opposing counsel to gather information and coordinate case activities.
  • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness materials.
  • Coordinate and assist with hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Monitor court deadlines, including calendaring litigation timelines and ensuring compliance with court rules.
  • Support attorneys in managing case budgets and billing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Proficiency in Florida state and federal court filing systems and procedures (e-filing).
  • Strong understanding of litigation processes, rules, and terminology.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).
  • Experience with document management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent education required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
