Job Details

A leading law firm specializing in insurance regulatory law, complex litigation, and governmental consulting, seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal.

The ideal candidate will support the litigation team with trial preparation, document management, legal research, and case management across a range of complex cases.

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Manage and organize case files, including maintaining electronic and paper files, reviewing documents for accuracy, and preparing them for trial.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze legal documents, and prepare reports summarizing findings.
  • Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and experts to facilitate case progression.
  • Assist in the collection and organization of evidence, including document production and management of exhibits.
  • Prepare and organize materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Track case deadlines and ensure compliance with court requirements and firm policies.
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation, including preparing trial binders, exhibits, and witness lists.
  • Monitor and manage docket schedules, court filings, and case calendars.
  • Attend hearings and trials when required, and provide on-site support to attorneys.
  • Work collaboratively with the litigation team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and legal case management software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with eDiscovery platforms and electronic document management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with trial preparation in high-stakes litigation.
  • Familiarity with insurance regulatory law and governmental consulting.
  • Knowledge of complex litigation matters, such as class actions, product liability, or commercial disputes.
