Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal with a specialization in Personal Injury Protection (PIP) to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing PIP cases, assisting attorneys with all aspects of insurance defense litigation, and providing comprehensive paralegal support throughout the litigation process.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys with all phases of PIP litigation, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation

Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery responses

Conduct legal research, including analyzing and summarizing medical records, police reports, and other case-related documents

Manage and organize case files, including electronic and physical documents, ensuring all files are current and properly maintained

Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel to schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials

Prepare and maintain detailed case chronologies, timelines, and summaries

Monitor case deadlines and manage attorney calendars to ensure all critical dates are met

Assist with the preparation and organization of trial materials, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders

Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and other parties to obtain necessary information and provide case updates

Support attorneys with the preparation of deposition and trial outlines and exhibits

Manage document production and review processes in preparation for discovery and trial

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, specifically in insurance defense litigation with a focus on PIP

Paralegal certificate or degree from an accredited institution

Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules, procedures, and e-filing requirements

Proficiency in legal research and case management software

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills
