Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on all M&A activities within the energy industry, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Lead and manage complex transactions involving tax equity, renewable energy, and finance.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
- Work closely with the business development team to identify, evaluate, and execute potential M&A opportunities.
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and protect the company's interests.
- Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure the company is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes in the energy sector.
- Provide training and guidance to other team members on legal matters related to M&A and the energy industry.
Qualifications:
- Experience with debt and tax equity project finance and M&A, managing deals and teams
- Mid level Attorney with regulatory M&A transactional experience in the renewable energy industry
- Tax Equity
- Enjoy the challenge of negotiating and drafting complex transactions;
- Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand how a project serves clients goals;
- A commitment to client service and team success;
- Ability to communicate business goals into contract language; and
- JD from an accredited university.
