Job Details
  • Manage acquisitions, dispositions, and financings for commercial properties, including the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements. Oversee the property evaluation process, addressing issues related to title, surveys, and environmental assessments.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key transaction documents, including loan agreements, purchase contracts, leases, and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Review and negotiate loan documents, manage financing transactions, and coordinate the closing process to ensure smooth and timely deal completion.
  • Coordinate the review, preparation, and management of commercial leasing documentation, including ground leases, retail, office, and industrial leases, with a focus on client objectives and legal protection.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate agreements for use in retail, industrial, and mixed-use developments, including Reciprocal Easement Agreements (REAs) and Declarations of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs), ensuring appropriate property use and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients regarding real estate transactions, deal structuring, risk assessment, and due diligence. Serve as a key advisor in negotiations and decision-making.
  • Perform and supervise due diligence efforts, including environmental reviews, zoning, and land use issues, to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Work closely with in-house and external teams, including lenders, developers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure efficient coordination of large-scale commercial real estate transactions.
  • Provide counsel in resolving disputes related to real estate transactions, lease agreements, and other commercial property matters.

We’re Looking For:

  • Licensed to practice in NC
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • 2+ years job experience as a commercial real estate attorney with transactional experience
