Our trading business, Galaxy Digital Trading ("GDT"), provides spot, derivates, and financing to institutional clients, counterparties and venues that transact in cryptocurrencies and other digital assets. GDT provides access to a number of globally traded cryptocurrencies to many unique clients and counterparties across a full suite of service offerings, including: over-the-counter ("OTC") spot liquidity provision, on- exchange liquidity provision, OTC options and trading, and bespoke lending and structured product offerings. GDT also engages in proprietary quantitative, arbitrage and macro trading strategies.
Candidate sought for risk manager role within Galaxy's risk management team. The candidate should have prior work experience in market risk management and deep knowledge of digital assets. Your role is to collaborate with portfolio managers and traders on portfolio construction, investment and risk analysis and ensure that the CRO and senior management is informed of the risks.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with CRO and Risk managers to establish risk management framework for Galaxy's Trading businessesIdentify, measure, and manage market and operational risks across Galaxy's multiple business linesLeverage on-chain information to enable data driven decision making and risk managementBuild tools to extract information from DeFi protocolsAssist in the development and maintenance of systems to calculate risk metricsCommunicate with risk takers to assess positions and volatilityProduce risk reports for risk takers, risk managers, and senior managementAnalyze, assess, visualize and report risks to CRO, and senior managementMonitor risks across multiple time zonesWhat We're Looking For:
6+ years of experience (finance or development)Deep knowledge of Digital Assets and DeFiDegree in finance, computer science or other quantitative subjectsExperience in Python, SQL, and ExcelGood communication skills and is a critical thinkerBonus Points:

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise. At Galaxy, we maintain a total compensation philosophy which consists of a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and equity incentives.
Base Salary Range
$140,000-$200,000 USD
