Essential Functions

Understand and demonstrate:Panel and profile identification What is tVerification of scheduled production run against the BOMQC standards of the Roll Forming stationQC Log entryStartup and shut down proceduresChangeover proceduresManual/remote control vs. automatic operationsCare and cleaning of equipmentChange over procedures, tooling and guide setupEquipment adjustments to correct product defectsCoil identification - PO#, Coil#, gauge, width, color, vendor, finish, embossingCoil defect identification and scrap proceduresProtective film selection and applicationEmbossing proceduresSlitting proceduresCrane use and safetyCoil splicing procedureCoil calculation and calculated cut proceduresUse of calipers, tape measures, other measuring devicesMath using US standard and metric systemInventory procedures.Effectively communicate with other stations.Continually monitor the product throughout the production run and ensure Quality and Product Compliance Requirements are met.Notify QC and Foreman of any product issues immediately.Continually monitor production equipment.Notify Maintenance and Foreman of any equipment issues immediately.Ensure area is organized and clean.Complete and maintain forklift certification.Complete training by Lead Operator/Foreman/Supervisor.Complies with all safety and company policies and procedures.Performs other related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Know how to run machines, load packaging onto machine.Calibrate scales, troubleshoot problems.Know how to perform routine maintenance tasks.Knowledge of safety rules, correct machine operation, common sense.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Education and Experience

Must have mathematic proficiency to include arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), as well as adding and subtracting fractions.Must have the ability to accurately use a tape measure, calipers, or other measuring devices.Must be proficient with the metric measurement system.Must have a high level of attention to detail.Physical Requirements:

Ability to work up to 12 hour per day. Hours, days and shifts depend on season and production schedule, and are not guaranteed.Must have the physical and mental ability, including spatial awareness to drive standard forklift types successfully.Must have the physical and mental ability, including omnidirectional spatial awareness and capability, to drive a CombiLift successfully.Ability sits, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, crouch, lean, reach, twist, and other physical movements for extended periods of time.Ability to work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment as indicated below under "Working Environment".Ability to wear prescribed personal protective equipment and appropriate clothing.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate fluently in English.Must have finger dexterity, visual acuity, discernment of sounds, color, and texture.Must be able to use tools, equipment, machinery, etc.Must be reliable and dependable.

Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures. The facility is an industrial manufacturing plant.
