Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Repair associate to join our team. As a Tool and Die Repair associate, you will be responsible for designing, building, and repairing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process. Your expertise in machining and metalworking will be essential in ensuring the production of high-quality parts and components.

Position Details:

•This full-time, hourly role is a part of our Tooling team and reports to the Tooling Manager

•$32.50 an hour, plus $1.50 shift premium - 2nd shift - 2pm-10pm

•$32.50 an hour, plus $1.00 shift premium - 3rd shift - 10pm-6am

•Union - UAW Local 2000

Duties:Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiecesSet up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, or EDM machines to fabricate partsFit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using hand tools or precision measuring instrumentsInspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects using precision measuring instrumentsTest completed tools or dies to ensure that they meet specificationsTroubleshoot issues with tooling or equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actionsCollaborate with engineers or tool designers to develop new tooling designs or modify existing onesMaintain accurate records of tooling maintenance and repairsConnects wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic components.SKILLS

Experience repairing large dies both inside presses and outside pressesProficiency in hydraulics systemsExcellent English language skills for clear communicationWelding experience for fabrication or repair workElectrical knowledge for troubleshooting purposesAbility to maintain a clean and organized work areaJourneyman card preferred - $2.00 per hour additional for Journeyman
