ACCOUNTANT
About the Company
A local university is looking to add to their accounting team. You will have the opportunity to support ongoing education not only for students but for yourself.
Responsibilities
- Performs complex, detailed reconciliations of operating and payroll bank accounts to the general ledger
- Performs other general ledger reconciliations as needed in support of monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Calculates and initiates corresponding journal entries
- Maintains Excel spreadsheets for audit support / inquiries
- Runs posting processes such as IGLP and PGLT and resolves posting errors to ensure accurate and timely posting of detail entries
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
- Maintains confidentiality
- Experience identifying, collecting and organizing data for decision making
- Proficient in relevant software such as Excel
Salary and Benefits
- Pay range is $70,000 to $75,000
- There is a very strong benefits package
- A hybrid schedule is offered with some days requiring you to be in the Uniontown office
