Overview of the Controller role:
- Oversee the day to day activities of the accounting staff
- Oversee month, quarter and year end financial activities
- Supervise all aspects of accounting to include AR, AP, month end close and grants reporting
- Oversee lease accounting preparation as per ASC842
- Works with Budget and Grant Manager on forecasts
Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years' progressive experience in NFP accounting
- Knowledge and understanding of the OMB Circular A-133 audit
- Supervisory experience
