Responsibilities of the Portfolio Valuation Analyst include but are not limited to:
- Perform detailed valuation analysis of investment portfolios, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative assets
- Conduct financial modeling and sensitivity analysis to assess asset performance
- Prepare comprehensive valuation reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor market trends, economic data, and industry developments impacting portfolio value
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to support investment strategies and decision-making
- Communicate valuation results and insights to clients, auditors, and senior management
- Maintain and update valuation models and methodologies as needed
Portfolio Valuation Analyst requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- 2+ years of prior real estate valuation experience
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies (e.g., DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions).
- Experience with financial modeling, data analysis, and valuation software (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg).
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
