Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year

We are a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring a highly motivated full-time Senior Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources’ Flood and Draining team. As a senior engineer, you will be overseeing and performing project and assistant engineers, conducting technical analysis, performing project management, client management, overseeing designs, drafting of construction plans, and preparation of construction specifications as well as project scheduling, site inspections, construction cost estimating, construction management, and construction assistance.

Job Details

What you will be doing

Leading a design team advancing water resources flood control and drainage projects, such as large storm drainage pipelines, culverts, open channels, large trash-capture devices, floodwalls, levees, hydraulic structures, appurtenant roadways, etc..

Field review of project sites to develop designs for new or rehabilitated facilities.

Preparing and overseeing technical analyses and engineering designs.

Coordinating with Project owners, resource and permitting agencies, and outside consultants.

Performing AutoCAD Drafting and GIS Exhibit Development

Construction coordination/inspection/management/documents review

Qualifications & Skills

Master’s degree (MS) in Civil Engineering.

Professional Engineer in California.

10 or more years preparing engineering technical analyses and design of Water Resource-related projects.

Project and client management along with managing and directing staff.

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Experience in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project.

Significant experience as a Project Engineer on Water Resources projects.

Formal Project Management training or certification.

Understanding of SF Bay Area agencies and other State and Federal regulatory agencies.

Participation in an industry-related professional organization.
