Benefits Manager Requirements:
- 6-10 years of directly related experience in benefits management.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing and administering various employee benefit programs.
- Extensive knowledge of ERISA, Workers Compensation, FMLA, DB/DC plans, OSHA, and federal reporting requirements (Form 5500, 990 filings).
- Proven ability to maintain legal compliance on all benefit plans.
- Experience with the UKG platform, including report writing, is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a non-profit environment is preferred but not required.
Benefits Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage employee benefit policies and programs, including medical, dental, retirement, and life insurance plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely enrollment, billing, and payroll deductions for all benefit programs.
- Maintain strict compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including ERISA, FMLA, and Workers Compensation.
- Oversee the communication of benefit information to employees, ensuring clarity and transparency.
- Serve as the primary liaison with benefits vendors, resolving any issues that arise.
- Assist in payroll processing, ensuring that benefit information is accurately reflected.
- Prepare and file all necessary federal reports and documents, such as Form 5500 and OSHA reports.
- Lead the management of the benefits platform, including system upgrades and improvements.
