Location: Enfield, CT (On Site)Job Type: Full-Time, 40 hours (no overtime anticipated)
Compensation: Starting at $40/hour
Job Description: The Manager of Accounts Payable will oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves leading a team of AP professionals, managing vendor relationships, and continuously improving processes. - The Manager of Accounts Payable will have their own office, with 2 monitors and a laptop to work outside the office
Key Responsibilities of the Manager of Accounts Payable:
- Manage, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the AP department, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and disbursements
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain and enforce AP policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- The Manager of Accounts Payable will step in to resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and present reports on AP metrics, cash flow, and outstanding liabilities to senior management.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
Manager of Accounts Payable Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
