Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Product Development, Sales, Suppliers, and Operations teams to promptly address and resolve quality concerns.
  • Conduct and monitor material and dimensional inspections for new supplier samples and urgent production parts.
  • Inspect and approve parts for PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) with a focus on quick turnaround.
  • Complete and file Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) for new and re-sourced products.
  • Communicate product or process non-conformances to relevant departments, including Quality, Purchasing, Product Development, and Operations.
  • Engage with suppliers to address non-conformances, ensuring swift containment, correction, and prevention.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager and teams to initiate and manage QCARs (Quality Corrective Action Reports), establishing criteria for resolving non-conformances.
  • Participate in internal quality audits and contribute to Supplier Performance Meetings to ensure alignment with quality standards.
  • Review customer, supplier, and SolidWorks models, prints, and revisions to ensure product compliance.
  • Assist in various quality assurance activities, including conducting measurements and ensuring part conformance using test equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date quality equipment and tools, identifying needs quarterly to support the department's capabilities.

Education:

  • 2 year Mechanical Degree highly preferred

Experience:

  • Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO standards, and ERP systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and SolidWorks 3D CAD software.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, MS Teams, Outlook, and familiarity with Minitab for statistical analysis.
  • Adept with measurement tools like calipers and rulers.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
