Staff Accountant

Manchester, CT On site Compensation: Up to 85K

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you'll manage a range of accounting duties, including bookkeeping tasks, while ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations as the Staff Accountant
  • Maintain general ledger entries and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing necessary documentation.
  • Process payroll and manage employee expense reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
  • Support the team with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Assist in audits by preparing necessary schedules and supporting documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting/bookkeeping role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
