Staff Accountant
Location: Manchester, CT On site Compensation: Up to 85K
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you'll manage a range of accounting duties, including bookkeeping tasks, while ensuring the accuracy of financial records. - Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations as the Staff Accountant
- Maintain general ledger entries and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing necessary documentation.
- Process payroll and manage employee expense reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Support the team with financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist in audits by preparing necessary schedules and supporting documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting/bookkeeping role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
