Staff Accountant

• CFS is working with an established, stable manufacturing company to identify a Staff Accountant to support their Controller!
• The Staff Accountant will work directly with the Controller and have high visibility with the leadership team.

Overview of the Staff Accountant role:

• Post payments for AR and apply payments to customer accounts
• Research overdue accounts and follow up with customers on past due payments
• Research discrepancies for AP and investigate missing information
• Prepare journal entries for month-end close

Preferred Qualifications for a Staff Accountant:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Recent graduates with internship experience are welcome to apply!
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Team-oriented - enjoys working with others and communicates when there are questions

Position is completely on site in Michigan City, IN
