Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to join their team at our Ravenna, MI location. This fully onsite role requires a hands-on financial leader with a deep understanding of costing in a manufacturing environment. The Plant Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting to senior leadership, and providing insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities for Plant Controller:
- Manage all plant-level accounting and financial functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Lead cost accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely costing of products, materials, and processes.
- Provide detailed financial reporting and analysis to plant leadership and corporate management, offering actionable insights to improve plant performance.
- Collaborate with operations team to analyze cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards.
- Monitor and forecast plant budgets, capital expenditures, and cash flows.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
- Act as a financial advisor and partner to the plant leadership team, contributing to the achievement of strategic goals.
Qualifications for Plant Controller:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on costing and financial analysis.
- Proven experience in presenting financial information to senior leadership, with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
