Part Time Staff Accountant - Mostly remote in Harpers Ferry, WV
About the Company and Part Time Staff Accountant Opportunity:
- CFS is working with a new non profit client to find a Part Time Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity for the next 2-3+ months
- The Staff Accountant will work with a small, welcoming, and passionate team. Leadership enjoys mentoring and coaching employees
- Schedule: Hybrid work schedule (2 days work from home, 1 day in office after training) Tuesday-Thursday, 8:30am-4pm (7 hour work day)
- Pay: $30-37/hour depending on experience
- Reports to the CFO
- Assist with backlog of bank reconciliations
- Perform grant reconciliations
- Post cash receipts from multiple sources
- Maintain general ledger
- Process membership dues
- Support AP and payroll processes
- Work with engagement team to process donations and gifts
Qualifications for the Part Time Staff Accountant:
- 2+ years' related experience in accounting required
- Non profit accounting experience highly preferred
- Understanding of restricted funds and donations
- Fund accounting experience beneficial
- Experience using Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP system highly preferred
- Proficient with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, importing/exporting, etc.)
