Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team in the technology industry. This role is integral to our risk management strategy and will focus on managing and resolving workers' compensation claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in claims handling, investigation, and risk management. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of workers' compensation claims, including investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution.
  2. Develop and implement effective claims handling strategies to minimize risk and financial impact.
  3. Work closely with legal, HR, and other internal teams to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  4. Analyze claim trends and provide regular reports to senior management.
  5. Coordinate with medical providers to ensure appropriate care for injured employees and facilitate their return to work.
  6. Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on workers' compensation processes and procedures.
  7. Participate in mediations and hearings as needed.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files and documentation.
  9. Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in workers' compensation and risk management.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist or similar role.
  2. Proven expertise in claims handling, investigation, and risk management.
  3. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and use data to make informed decisions.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Detailed knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  6. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  7. Proficiency in using claims management software and other relevant technology.
  8. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred.
  9. Certification as a Workers' Compensation Professional (WCP) or similar is a plus.
