What the Property Accountant will do…
- The Property Accountant will perform full-cycle accounting for a mixed commercial/retail/multi-family portfolio.
- Conduct monthly close procedures and ensure deadlines are met.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and perform variance analysis.
- The Property Accountant will also help in the annual budget preparation, prepare schedules for audits and prepare financial reports.
- Work on fixed assets and ensure timely capitalization and depreciation.
What the company needs in a Property Accountant:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 to 4 years of experience.
- Experience with multi-family or commercial real estate accounting.
- Good communication skills with a desire to learn.
