Accounting Administrator- Hybrid in Silver Spring, MD
Overview of the Accounting Administrator Role:
- CFS is partnering with a top client, a non profit located in Silver Spring, MD to find an Accounting Administratorto join their team on a contract to hire basis
- For the right candidate, this position will become permanent!
- Schedule: Position is hybrid: 2-3 days in office (Tuesday and Wednesday in office)- 35 hour work week!
- Candidates must be local to the DMV
- Office is metro accessible (Silver Spring metro stop via red line) and MARC accessible
- Hours are very flexible; start as early as 7:30am or as late as 9am

Job Duties of the Accounting Administrator:
- Payroll processing in Deltek software and ADP
- Reconcile leave balance spreadsheet in Costpoint
- Post job ads, assist with onboarding paperwork for new employees, and ensure new employees have key fobs and phone extensions set up
- Create and enter payroll journal entries into Costpoint
- Perform weekly pension spreadsheet entries
- Update payroll and pension spreadsheets
- Enter cash receipts
- Set up new users for travel, assist with travel arrangements, obtain approval for travelers
- Set up new employees for 401K, update projection spreadsheets, and upload contributions
- Post labor, pull reports out of Costpoint, create drawdown requests, and send for approval
- Perform admin work for grant proposals, keying in data and budget amounts
- Create contracts according to approvals from grant applications
- Key bills and pension payments into Concur
- Act as Office Admin and check mail, order office supplies, and handle miscellaneous admin tasks
Qualifications for the Accounting Administrator:
- Associates degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related preferred
- 5+ years' related experience
- Knowledge of accounting and/or payroll processing a plus, but not required
- Background in government contracting and knowledge of federal grants, contracts, and proposal highly beneficial
- Knowledge of ADP preferred
- Deltek Costpoint and/or Concur software a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in Excel preferred (ability to do pivot tables and vlookup a plus)
