Key Responsibilities as a Property Accountant:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for a diverse portfolio of properties including commercial and multifamily properties (mostly third-party managed with the opportunity to handle a few internally-owned assets as well.)
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance.
- Manage month-end close processes for the property accounting team.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and prepare journal entries.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
What We're Looking For in a Property Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of accounting experience in the real estate industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Experience with MRI is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information:
Location: On-site in Denver, CO
Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000
