OVERVIEW OF THE CONTROLLER ROLE:

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
• Manage cash flow, investment strategies, and risk management activities.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development.
• Collaborate with senior management to support financial planning and strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CONTROLLER:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in the financial services industry.
• Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools.
