Position SummaryThe Clinical Applications Architect participates in the overall strategy, analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance/enhancement of clinical applications/initiatives.
Core Duties and Responsibilities• Assists in the planning, designing and maintenance of selected clinical application systems as directed by the Manager of Clinical Informatics.• Partners with others to ensure successful outcome of clinical information automation initiatives.• Facilitates communication between the clinical departments, the Clinical Informatics Department and other technical implementation teams.• Assists in staff and physician education for new and existing clinical applications through classroom and / or end-user support.• Assists in the development of tools that will assist clinical users in the performance of job duties using clinical systems.• Supports / assists in the clinical data reporting needs of management.• Works cooperatively with the Manager of Clinical Informatics and other applicable organization entities to ensure policies and procedures meet or exceed existing legal and regulatory requirements as related to clinical applications.
Minimum Requirements• Current NJ RN License• BSN• 1 years of RN experience in a hospital setting• Aptitude for IT and a desire to learn and build Cerner for clinical use.• Organizational, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills
Preferred :• Shore Medical Center Cerner experience
