Ambulatory Informatics Specialist
Works closely with practice informatics, leadership, fellow teammates, caregivers and providers to ensure successful user orientation, standardized process/workflow and clinical application adoption. Assists in the development, training and support of assigned healthcare applications, solutions, and business processes to meet the operational and clinical application needs of the organization. Serves as a liaison between application support, clinical operations, clinical/practice informatics, and system users. Ensures effective systems operations by monitoring workflows, providing advanced user support, ongoing application education and assists with communications.
Job Duties:Assist in managing Electronic Health Record for the organizationManages data sharing between medical group operations, the Care Coordination team, Information Services, and FinanceWorks closely with Population Health staff to target areas of opportunity to maximize Pay for Performance, avoid penalties and report trendsCreate and lead training workshops for employeesProvides guidance to staff in support of Meaningful Use and Physician Quality Reporting SystemProvides strategic advice regarding opportunities for improvementsCoach and mentor current employees through continuing EHR educationOther duties as assignedRequirements:
Experience working with Meaningful Use (MU), Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS), Merit-based Incentive Programs (MIPS), Transitional Case Management (TCM), Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Comprehensive Primary Care initiative (CPC+ initiative) and Value Based Purchasing (VBP) programs.Knowledge of
