Internal Auditor, Consultant

Your RoleThe Internal Auditor Consultant will report to the Internal Audit Senior Director. In this role you will be responsible for providing objective examinations of evidence for providing independent assessment to the Audit Committee, management and outside parties on the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk, management and control processes.Your WorkIn this role, you will:Conduct financial, operational and compliance audits and provide consulting services to the organizations management and staffAssist in identifying and evaluating the organizations risk areas and provide input to the development of the Annual Audit PlanPerform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and proceduresIdentify, develop, and document audit issues and recommendations using independent judgement concerning areas being reviewedCommunicate the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management and the Board of DirectorsConduct interviews, review documents, develop and administer surveys, compose summary memos, and prepare working papersDevelop and maintain productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetingPursue professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and share information gained with co-workersPerform related work and other duties as assigned by audit management

Your Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceRequires at least 3 years of prior related experienceCertified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferredHealthcare experience preferred

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 109120.00 to $ 163680.00 for California.Note:

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade.
