Responsibilities:
- Design, fabricate, and repair tooling, jigs, fixtures, and dies using a variety of machinery, including lathe, mill, and 5 Axis.
- Perform CNC machining operations on aluminum and other materials, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot tooling and equipment to prevent downtime and keep production running smoothly.
- Apply welding techniques as needed during the fabrication and repair of tools and dies.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to understand tooling needs and develop solutions that improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Regularly inspect and test tools and dies, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in tool and die technology to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Tool & Die Mechanic in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining a variety of machines, including lathe, mill, and 5 Axis.
- Extensive experience with CNC machining, specifically with aluminum.
- Solid knowledge of tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Proficient in welding, with a deep understanding of various welding techniques.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair tools and dies.
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength, as this role involves lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- A certificate or degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or industrial technology, is preferred.
