Our client, engaged in Trading Energy products such as natural gas and power in the US, has offices in TX, VA, and CA. Primary location and where this role sits is in Irvine, CA, and successful candidate will ensure that traders are executing their trades properly.

This Prestigious company needs someone to strengthen the governance function in terms of incorporating market-standards, commodity market risk and compliance for greater transparency around Operational Risks. Work with various functional teams across front, middle and back offices to understand and evaluate areas deemed to be high-risk, define and set expectations with control operators and reviewers on completeness, accuracy and timeliness of controlling activities and develop reporting capability to showcase operational risk effectiveness for management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or related field
Minimum 5 years experience in Commodity Risk Management, with experience in ENERGIES
Strong understanding of internal control concepts
Knowledge of Market Analysis tools and techniques relevant to commodity trading
