MMP Staffing Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide individualized behavior therapy to clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. The RBT will implement treatment plans, collect data, and support clients in developing essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Behavioral Interventions:
  • Implement behavior intervention plans designed by the BCBA.
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
  • Use positive reinforcement and other strategies to encourage desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Data Collection and Reporting:
  • Accurately collect and record data on clients' progress and behaviors during therapy sessions.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records, ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Report progress and challenges to the supervising BCBA regularly.
  • Skill Development:
  • Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
  • Utilize ABA techniques to teach new skills and improve existing ones.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each client.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work collaboratively with the BCBA, families, and other members of the client's support team.
  • Communicate effectively with clients' families, providing updates on progress and strategies to support skill development at home.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision meetings.
  • Professional Development:
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ABA.
  • Maintain RBT certification through continuous education and adherence to ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification:
  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Experience with ABA therapy and behavior intervention techniques.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and data collection abilities.
  • Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and instructions from the BCBA.

Work Environment:

  • The position requires working in various settings, including clients' homes, schools, clinics, and community environments.
  • Physical requirements may include lifting, moving, and engaging in physical activities with clients.
  • Some evening or weekend hours may be required to accommodate clients' schedules.
