Development Manager

Cleveland nonprofit is looking for its next development manager. This full-time role is hybrid with work being completed from home and in office.

Description
The development manager leads fundraising for the nonprofit including securing financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual fundraising plan to meet fundraising goals.
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations.
  • Completing the sales life cycle from prospect to funder.
  • Tracking all touch points via a CRM system.
  • Maintain portfolio of donors.
  • Prepare reports and manage meetings of the Board of Directors and its committees.
  • Presentations to funders, groups and at events.
  • Measure and report on key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Oversight and follow-up for accounts receivable accounts.
  • Developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising.
  • Generate donor communications, newsletters and annual report.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on progress towards fundraising goals.
  • Provide leadership to fundraising committee and staff.
  • Network and maintain regular correspondence with donors.

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Applied understanding of fundraising principles and best practices.
  • Strong prospect identification and qualification skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Proficiency with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and delegation skills.
  • Experience with online fundraising and email marketing.
  • Availability to work outside of normal work hours occasionally.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of fundraising or nonprofit experience.
  • Previous management experience a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts.

Salary
Commensurate with experience.
